One of the key elements of MIWOCA is participatory planning that places its focus on the exchange, dissemination and implementation of knowledge. For this, focus groups and stakeholder dialogues were conducted.

Focus Groups

After the interviews focus groups together with the women were held in Bern and Geneva. During these meetings, data from the patients-interviews were presented to the interviewees and they are asked for feedback and additions. Afterwards based on the main issues of the interview analysis an open discussion took place. Finally, participants of both focus groups were offered the opportunity to volunteer as the women’s representative for the forthcoming stakeholder dialogues.

Stakeholder Dialogues

Representatives of healthcare providers and other relevant institutions as well as the women’s representatives are gathered at the stakeholder dialogues. Stakeholder dialogues are consensus conferences. They work to develop a set of recommendations and an agreed upon concrete catalogue of actions to implement recommendations.
